Foods and Exercises People With Joint Pain Can Do

Joint pain sucks. It makes it really difficult to do basic things everyday. But it’s still possible for people with joint pain to become fit, and healthy. 

The right exercise and diet routine, can help you manage pain, improve your mobility, and feel better about your body. 

Exercises people with joint pain can do 

You need to be careful about how you exercise and what exercises you do. No matter how cool an exercise is, it has to be something that is easier on your joints= Safe. 

Low impact exercises

Try to focus on activities that don’t put too much stress on your joints. Cool exercises you can do are:

  • Dancing (low impact dances)

These exercises can help strengthen the muscles around your joints, while supporting, and reducing your joint pain. You can also drop some pounds if that’s your goal, cause they can help with weight loss too.

These exercises are great, but they not might not be the best option.

Who says you can’t increase your muscle mass even with joint pain? 

It’s not out of the question for you, you just need to do it smartly. 

You can start by using low resistance or light weights, so you won’t put too much stress on your joints. If you feel pain in your joints while doing weight bearing exercises, it’s a sign that you should reduce the weights. Then, you can gradually reduce the weights until you find the right ones.

Reduce the way you eat these foods:

  • Fried foods 
  • Candies, pastries, and sweetened beverages
  • Too much alcohol 
  • Dairy products 

These foods may worsen inflammation, and alcohol can affect your meds.

Also, keeping a healthy bodyweight can help you not put too much weights on your joints, cause it’ll just be an additional stress on them. It’ll be easier to maintain a healthy bodyweight if you regularly eat balanced meals. 

It’s also important to stay hydrated because water makes things move better. 

Other important things you need include:

  • Getting quality sleep
  • Managing your stress levels 
  • Resting 
  • Taking things one day at a time 
  • Believing in yourself and trusting the process 

If you combine a good exercise routine, eat the right foods, and make some lifestyle changes, you’ll be able to manage joint pain better.
