How I Improve My Day In 2 Minutes.

Take a guess. Do you think you can guess what it is? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Okay, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and?

It’s GRATITUDE! And no, I’m not crazy—it can really improve your day in 2 minutes.

There are loads of things you can do to make yourself happy and improve your day in total, but if you ask me, gratitude is their Godfather.

There are times when I slip into a sad mood (yes, I’ve had and still have a wonderful relationship, a smooth job, good friendships, and decent health). This bad mood will most likely make me lag behind the whole day and feel M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E! But once I do my gratitude, I always find happiness.

And yes, you can be grateful even in hard times. You know this. There are still things in your life that you are grateful for.

Hey, if you’re struggling to find things to be grateful for, let me know in the comments. Maybe we can find them together.

The Key Takeaway.

To be honest, my gratitude practice usually takes about 2 or 3 minutes. But you can keep it even shorter, especially if you’re trying it out for the first time, feeling skeptical, or having a bad day and just need a quick mood boost.

Now, it’s hard to explain how gratitude changes you, but it really does. It changes the way you view your life and how you see opportunities, problems, and people. It changes everything!

Why Is Gratitude Important?

  • You see those things you always complain about? Gratitude will help you stop because you’ll have no room for negativity.
  • It reduces how anxious I can get during the day. Why? Because I’ve acknowledged the blessings and beautiful things in my life. So anxiety? It’s got nothing on me.
  • When I’m grateful for things in my life, I find it easier to let life be. I just relax and let go of the need to control certain things.
  • Gratitude helps me overlook the hard things I struggle with. How? Because I’m not focused on the bad things. And a fun fact: it keeps me busy in my head, wondering what other people out there are grateful for daily.
  • I also noticed that on the days I practice gratitude, I find it easier to trust people and even myself. It feels like I’m moving with a pure mind. And it is beautiful!

How To Begin Practicing Gratitude.

It doesn’t matter if you like to write it down or say it out loud. Just do it!

  • Your posture matters. You might think it doesn’t, but it really does. Sit or lie down well. Be conscious of your posture.
  • Do it as soon as you wake up. The way you begin your day determines how your day will go.
  • Have a gratitude prompt. My gratitude prompt is being grateful for the past, present, and future. If focusing on the present works for you, that’s your prompt. Stick with it.

My Opinion On People And Gratitude.

Gratitude is about being really honest about the things you’re grateful for. But then, people try to fake it. You can’t deceive two people in a lie. You can deceive the other person, but you can’t deceive yourself. They know they just faked it, so they get uncomfortable with it and stop doing it.

If you can find even the tiniest thing in your life that you’re truly grateful for, I think you would love gratitude. Instead of faking it, take a moment to think—it’s probably something you don’t think about so much.

Have you thought about being grateful that you can breathe or walk without any help? Do you know there are people who struggle every time they have to take a breath or a walk?
