The thing is, there is a very little line between tracking your weight loss, and becoming obsessed with doing so.
You would always want to weigh yourself, and then it’s become too much, to the point where it starts to mess with your head.

- If anyone is saying anything different
It’s because you’re in a hurry to lose weight, that’s why you keep checking your weight.
You can simply relax, don’t rush it, because it’ll happen eventually.
- Just keep doing what you do.

See it like a school
No matter how much you do school,
- A school year is a school year, you can’t change it.
Do the same with your weight loss journey.
If you have goal to try drop some pounds in 5 months, let it play it’s course.
- Because 5 months won’t come any faster than it would.
So just keep doing your thing and show up every day, at some point, you’ll see the progress you’ve made.
It’s just like studying for an exam, for every day that you study, you’re a day closer to the exam date.

Choose how you want to track your progress
And stick to it.

If you decide to weigh yourself every morning of a new week, stick to it.
No weighing on the 4th day or any other day, no matter how tempting it is.

- How your clothes are starting to fit
- Your mood and confidence
- Body measurements of your hips, waists, arms, and thighs.
These things can tell you much more about your weight loss journey,

- Of course there’s a target.
But, it can be more helpful to view it as a process, because it might keep you from tracking your weight loss without obsessing over it.
Focus more on the good habits
Don’t get hung up on what you see on on the scale, focus on building healthy habits that will follow you through your life.
Like,
- Drinking enough water to keep your body hydrated
- Working out
- Moving your body
- Getting enough sleep
- Eating healthy meals
These are the things that matter more, and need your attention, so you can improve on them.
- It’ll help you track your weight loss without obsessing about it.
And, you’ll be more likely to develop a healthy relationship with food ,and exercise.
- Which is what matters after all.
Don’t be too hard on yourself
Another way to track your weight loss without obsessing is to be kind to yourself.
Yes, you’re tracking your workouts, and meals you eat everyday.
But, don’t beat yourself up or start having a meltdown over a missed a workout or because ate something you “shouldn’t” have eaten.
Cause it might lead to you becoming upset and then obsessed about,
How much progress you think you’ve lost.
Or the calories you’ve gained.
You don’t need all that.
- You’re always free to get backon track with your next meal or exercise.
Try to be kind to yourself, it’s very important.

The thing is, no matter the style you choose to track your weight loss, it can be easy to become obsessed.
So, you need to talk to YOURSELF.

It is you that will go to pick the scale, or that dress you’ve been using to track your weight loss.
