1 . Walk after meals
People don’t do this enough, and it could be that they probably don’t know of it, or maybe they don’t believe it works.
A short 10-20 minutes walk after having your meal can help regulate your blood sugar, help with digestion, and even get your steps in without feeling like exercise.
However, most people stay seated after eating, some even head over to bed or start scrolling online. But that short walk after eating can do lot more for your belly, than just sitting down.
2 . Lift something heavy
You don’t need an expensive gym or going to the gym at all, if you don’t want to. You can start within the comfort of your living room or bedroom.
A pair of dumbbells is a good way to start. And if you don’t have those, find a big water bottle, plastic keg of milk or oil. And if these plastics are empty, just fill them with water, and you’re good to go.
Then start lifting them. Some great exercises you can do with them are:
- Squats
- Deep squats
- Kettle bel swings (but with your plastic bottles)
- Side to side squats with weights

3 . 10 Seconds Planks
You don’t need to start with 1 minutes planks straight away, as it can be a bit intimidating, especially for a beginner. But it is very effective, and so is starting with 10 seconds. You can do begin with 10 seconds, rest repeat, rest, and then repeat. Which will make it 30 seconds in total.
4 . Start walking more everyday
You need to get your daily steps in. This You don’t necessarily need to target 10 k steps a day, just start with 40 minutes to 1 hour walking everyday.
Focus on the duration first, before the steps itself. Eventually you can start aiming for thousands of steps everyday, like 3 or 4 thousand steps.
Walking is one of the surprisingly easy ways to burn belly fat, and it doesn’t require the gym. Because you can walk almost everywhere.
Even matching in place by your desk at work counts too.
5 . Eat protein before you’re starving
It’s never a good idea to wait till you’re extremely hungry before you eat. It can easily lead to you overeating when you make your plate. Which is why eating high-protein meals for breakfast or lunch is one great way to lose belly fat, because it can help you stay full for longer.
6 . Sleep like it matters
Getting plenty of sleep matters a lot more than you think. Poor sleep can increase your hunger hormones, which can make it harder to eat healthy the next day.
Good sleep counts if you want to lose belly fat.
7 . Stop drinking your calories
Sugary drinks go down so fast, yet they can add hundreds of calories that you barely notice.
Good options to swap them with are water, sparkling water, or unsweetened tea.
To lose belly fat might seem difficult, but the steps to take are surprisingly simple ones. It just takes a little change in your diet, discipline, patience, and consistency to start seeing a reduction.
